At Post Hotel & Spa, we're thrilled to unveil our latest libation: the Pipestone Lager, a refreshing creation made in collaboration with The Grizzly Paw Brewing Company. Brewed from the refreshing waters of the Rockies that flow through the Bow Valley, this beer promises to elevate your summer experience with its crisp taste and smooth finish, offering a true taste of the region's pristine natural beauty. Available exclusively at the hotel, the Pipestone Lager is crafted with care and precision, ensuring each sip embodies the essence of the Canadian Rockies.

William Burke, Post Hotel’s Head Sommelier, explains some of the process and inspiration behind the beer. “In crafting the Pipestone Lager, we aimed to capture the essence of various lager styles. We wanted to create something that blended the qualities of some of our favourite Grizzly Paw beers. A lager with the malty sweetness of the Powder Hound Blonde Ale, the bitter finish of the Bohemian Pilsner as well as the crisp light character of the Lawn Chair Lager. From that meeting, their Brewmaster, Meesh, went about creating a profile that would meet our goals. When fermentation completed and the beer was transferred into a stabilization tank, the first sip was one of confirmation, a great beer that could challenge for best Lager in the Bow Valley.”
